High Intensity Egg Candler

Eggs are candled by shining a bright light through the shell thus revealing potential problems inside. This is done for two reasons:

• 1. To remove infertile eggs or those in which the embryo has died.
• 2. To check the air cell at the top of the egg during incubation. This ensures the incubator humidity is correct.

A Candler / Egg lume is a very important part of incubating eggs. Ideally candling at 10 days for a novice should tell if fertile or not.

Perfect with any incubator. Ideal for all dark coloured eggs.For quail, pheasant (and other dark or mottled eggs), ratites.

This is our new designed high intensity candler which is great for all egg types including the very dark eggs from breeds such as French Marans, also Duck eggs or even goose eggs. Place the 'fat' end of the egg against the light end of the high intensity candler, press the button and watch the life grow.

If you are only candling light coloured eggs then this candler will not be needed and our Egg Candler Standard or R-COM Egg candler is ideal.
