The design of our duck and goose housing is very similar to that of our chicken houses however as they are not required, there are no nest boxes or perches.  The Embden Goose house is built from 15mm timber, ready for the sturdy work the ducks or geese will give it.

 

By using this similar design, it means they are very easy to clean, which is vital for ducks as they know how to make a mess!

 

Cleaning. Our chicken houses / goose houses are not only designed with health in mind but also with the poultry keeper in mind with them designed for time saving.  You can simply place a ground sheet on the floor one side of the house, remove both sides of the house then sweep the dirty bedding on to the ground sheet.  It is really that simple. 

When putting new bedding in we always sprinkle some Poultry Ark Maid on the floor then put the new Bedding on top of this.  You then just have to put the sides back on and the house is done - simple and very quick.

 

This Goose/Duck house is suitable for 8 Aylesbury ducks, 10-11 Runners or 4-6 large geese.
